Stuart Mailer is an elite Physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience with a specialism in Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, and Sports Injuries. He has spent many years specializing in all ailments related to Knee Physiotherapy, Foot and Ankle Physiotherapy, Shoulder and Paediatric Physiotherapy Stuart graduated in Physical Education in 1996 then Sports Therapy then studied Osteopathy techniques before Physiotherapy in 2002. He completed a Pg Dip in Sports and Exercise Medicine in 2010 and was undertaking his PhD that's on hold. Stuart is a Physiotherapist, Personal Trainer, Sports Therapist, Pilates instructor, and Acupuncturist. He has completed many Postgraduate courses from Kinesio Taping, Spinal Manipulation, Tendinopathy, to ACL and many others. He studied with many surgeons in the UK and USA and spent time studying at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic in the USA. In the UK he studied with leading Orthopedic surgeons at the LFAC and at The Fortius Clinic in London. He has also spent many years with the leading Sports Drs in the world from Tennis, Football, and Athletics.

Sports Background:

​

Stuart originally was head of Sports Science at Sutton Tennis Academy, looking after over 100 elite Tennis players and working with the LTA and Tennis Australia. Since graduating in Physiotherapy Stuart has been the lead Sports Physiotherapist at many professional sporting events and worked with numerous Olympic Champions, GB and World Athletic Gold medalists, Wimbledon, French & US Open champions, British Boxing champions, European and British Judo Champions, Indy 500 Winners, and many others at the elite level of sport. In Tennis, Stuart consulted for the LTA and was head Tournament Physio at many tournaments working many times at the Wimbledon Championships, French Open, Nottingham Open and others As Lead Physio and Trainer at the Sutton Tennis Academy, he looked after many of the world's highest-ranked juniors and adult players such as Oliver Golding, Laura Robson, Johanna Konta, Joe Salisbury, Dominic Inglot, Sam Groth, Paul Hanley and Romina Oprandi and others. Stuart was employed at Chelsea FC for 5 years, working with the academy to the reserve squad. He ventured into Motorsport in, Asia Formula 3, and Indy Cars with professional Drivers such as Dillion Battistini competing at the Indy 500.  Stuart still works with many sportspeople nationally and internationally from Tennis, Football, Athletics, and MMA and if he can't be close he consults virtually.

Clinical Work:

Stuart has been the  Clinical Lead and Consultant for many Private practices and worked in many leading clinics in Surrey, Kensington, and Mayfair in London. He has been the physiotherapist for many dignitaries, celebrities and international Royalty and worked with the band U2 on the 360 World Tour and with Arcade Fire, Muse undergoing European and World tours. Stuart been an expert writer and contributed to over 100 articles with leading magazines and newspapers such as Women's Health, Men's Running, Women's Running, and The Daily Mail, and contributed to the book Run yourself Fit. He sat as the Consultant Physiotherapist in Foot and Ankle groups and the expert physiotherapist for Knee groups assisting many leading surgeons in developing protocols for post-operative and conservative management of Orthopaedic injuries. After many years working in London and traveling globally, Stuart has now moved back to Scotland to work in his practice at Stuart Mailer Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine.
