Stuart Mailer is a highly skilled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience in health care. He has a specialism in Musculoskeletal, Orthopeadics and Sports Injuries. He has spent many years specialising in all ailments related to Knee Physiotherapy, Foot and Ankle Physiotherapy, and the Shoulder. Stuart initially studied Physical Education then Sports Therapy in 1996-99. He then studied Osteopathy techniques for 1 year before Physiotherapy in 2002. In 2009 he completed a Pg Dip in Sports and Exercise Medicine and is currently undertaking a PhD. Stuart is also a Personal Trainer, Pilates instructor and Acupuncturist completing a Master's level foundation degree. He has completed many Postgraduate courses from K Taping, Spinal Manipulation, Tendinopathy, to ACL. Stuart has studied with many of the leading experts and surgeons within their fields. He has spent time studying at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic in the USA and worked closely with the leading surgeons at the LFAC and at The Fortius Clinic. He has also spent many years with the leading Sports Drs in the world gaining a wide range of experience.
Stuart has been a Personal Trainer, Sports Therapist and Lead Physiotherapist in many Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedic clinics and Head Physio at professional sporting events working at the highest level of professional sport since 2005. He has worked with many Olympic Champions, World Athletic Gold medalists, Wimbledon champions, British Boxing champions, European and British Judo Champions, Indy 500 Winners and many others at the elite level of their sport. In Tennis Stuart consulted for the LTA and was head tournament Physio at Junior Nationals, British Tour Events, ITF, and ATP tournaments working many times at Wimbledon Championships, Nottingham Open and the French Open. As Lead Physio at the Sutton Academy Tennis, he looked after many of the world's highest-ranked juniors such as Oliver Golding and adult players including Johanna Konta, Joe Salisbury, Dominic Inglot, Sam Groth, Paul Hanley to name a few, and on the WTA tour with top-ranked Female Romina Oprandi. Stuart was employed at Chelsea FC for 5 years working in premiership Football with all ages from academy to senior. He also ventured into Motorsport in, Asia For 3, Champ cars and Indy Cars. with professional Drivers such as the Uk's Dillion Battistini. Stuart still works with many sportspeople nationally and internationally from Tennis, Football, Athletics and MMA and if he cant be close he consults virtually.
Out with sport, Stuart has been the Clinical Lead for many Private practices working in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Care since 2005. He has had his own successful clinic and worked in many of the leading clinics in London. Through this he has been the physiotherapist for many dignitaries and Royalty. As he is a keen musician himself he spent time working in music with professional Musicians, U2, Arcade Fire, Muse and with others undergoing European and World tours. When not working Stuart has consistently studied or been an expert writer with many magazines and newspapers such as Personal Trainer, Women's Health, Men's Running, Women's Running, The Daily Mail and contributed to the book Run yourself Fit. He sat as the Consultant Physiotherapist in Foot and Ankle groups and also the expert physiotherapist for Knee groups aiding many leading surgeons in developing protocols with post-operative and conservative management of Orthopedic injuries. After many years working and travelling globally and in London, Kensington, Mayfair, and Surrey, Stuart has now moved back to Scotland working in Edinburgh and Livingston.
