Pilates 

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that helps improve mind, body and physical well-being. This is done by strengthening muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. A typical Pilates workout tends to be 45 minutes to an hour-long,

Pilates can be performed on the floor, standing or using equipment.  The benefits for the individual can be wide as it can help posture, Strength, Endurance, Mobility, and Flexibility offering all something of benefit. Through these, it can then help in the reduction of injury and in the rehabilitation of injuries.  It is common for individuals who have suffered from back pain to undergo Pilates to help improve their core strength and reduce a reoccurrence of their discomfort. Pilates has something to offer people of all ages and levels of ability and fitness, from beginners to elite athletes. 

 

Pilates can be booked in a clinic for 1-2-1 or small groups. We can take you through the basics and fundamentals of Pilates and then progress you to an advanced level in the comfort of your own home.

Sports Therapy 

Sports Therapy is an aspect of healthcare that is specifically concerned with the prevention of injury and the rehabilitation of the patient back to optimum levels of functional, occupational and sports specific fitness, regardless of age and ability. It utilises the principles of sport and exercise science incorporating physiological and pathological processes to prepare the participant for training, competition and where applicable, work.

  • Utilise sports and exercise principles to optimise performance, preparation and injury prevention programmes

  • Assess, treat, rehabilitate and, where and if appropriate, refer on for specialist advice and intervention.

  • Provide appropriate soft tissue interventions in a sport & exercise context

  • Plan and implement appropriate rehabilitation and return to training/work programme

Strength & Conditioning 

Personal training, Strength and Conditioning, or Sports specific training can assist in improving your Strength, Mobility, Flexibility, weight loss and improve your Vo2 max adding to your function, activity or sporting performance reducing injury occurrence. A tailored plan can also be implemented to help with weight reduction. By a detailed plan, you can then achieve specific goals and objectives you may have. This may be from increasing your CV Fitness, Mobility, Functional movement protecting a previous injury or just your general well being. Sessions can be undertaken in the gym, clinic or can be down online at the comfort of your own home.  Sessions can be from 30-45 mins to 60 mins.
